Individual Art Therapy sessions normally take place weekly and are focused on whatever issue the client come to the session to address.
Jemma uses a Person-Centred Approach in her art therapy sessions. The Person-Centred Approach to Psychotherapy is based on the therapist being genuine within the session, having unconditional positive regard for the client and true empathy towards the client. These conditions allow for the client to be true to themselves and to undertake real change. In these sessions there is a safe space created for the client where anything is open to be discussed without judgement.
The length of time of a session is 60 minutes and sessions usually take place weekly. However these times can be adjusted according to client need and are just a guideline.
Sessions take place in Tramore Wellness Centre, where Jemma has set up a specialized Art Therapy room.
